Stopping to enjoy the butterfly and flowers







As I was taking a photo of some flowers (coreopsis) that I was planning to pull up, this large monarch sat for a pose. Here are some photos of this year's annuals. I always go big on the potato vines.

Beautiful flowers! It is great to capture your favorites (especially if you have spent countless hours planting and watering and weeding..)for enjoyment later after the blooms fade.

Thank you! I'm really pleased with my flowers this year. (I haven't hit that "so sick of watering" phase yet.) Verbena is my current favorite. I also planted basil, parsley and tarragon.
